I really appreciated that this was ceremonial. We had some chants and prayers, and did breathing exercises. I was totally aware of my tattoo, it was emotional, magical and a spiritual experience. India is not only an artist but she acted as a guide. I still think about those 12 hours to this day.

India listened very carefully to what I wanted, and understands colour, shape and form. She just knows. Every time I look at it, it seems like it's been on my body forever.
